Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Knight (ranked 5471 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luka Pavlicic (ranked 5331 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emmanuel Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luka Pavlicic! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pavlicic looks to land a combination but Knight avoids it well. Knight throws a counter high kick but Pavlicic was just alert enough to avoid it. Pavlicic takes the fight into the clinch. Knight looks to throw an elbow but misses. Pavlicic gets control of Knight's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pavlicic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Pavlicic controls Knight momentarily but Knight frees himself. Knight chips away with some ground and pound. Knight sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pavlicic looking for a guillotine here but Knight defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Knight preventing the sweep. Knight seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Knight gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Pavlicic scores with a three punch combo!

Knight tries to keep at a distance but Pavlicic has taken the fight into the clinch. Pavlicic looks to throw an elbow but misses. Pavlicic fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pavlicic tries to stall but Knight uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight drags the fight down to the ground.
Knight is pulling down on Pavlicic's head to control his posture. Knight's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Knight trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Knight throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Pavlicic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Knight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Knight lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Knight holds on and takes a little breather. Pavlicic must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pavlicic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Knight really is a fat lump.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Pavlicic tries to clinch but Knight is having none of it. Pavlicic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knight swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pavlicic is looking to clinch. Pavlicic tries to clinch up but Knight circles away and keeps his distance. Knight tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Pavlicic manages to circle out of the way. Knight's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Pavlicic managing to block the knees to the body from Knight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pavlicic has had enough of the clinch but Knight keeps him there for the moment. Knight is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pavlicic is defending well for now. Pavlicic is trying to maintain a safe position but Knight gets an underhook and turns Pavlicic into the cage. Pavlicic tries to pull guard but Knight won't allow it.
Emmanuel Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luka Pavlicic. Knight controlling the action here for a moment.
Knight gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Knight scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Knight is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Pavlicic is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
