The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Beckford swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Beckford tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hopkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Beckford wants to clinch.
Hopkins clinches up against the cage.
Hopkins managing to block the knees to the body from Beckford.
Beckford throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Beckford is trying to break free.
Beckford wants to get back to striking at distance but Hopkins won't allow it.
Beckford swings wildly with an uppercut but Hopkins uses good head movement to avoid it.
Beckford breaks the clinch.
Hopkins doesn't manage to clinch there - Beckford circles away.
Hopkins misses with a looping left.
Beckford misses with a straight right.
Beckford throws a looping overhand right but Hopkins ducks down to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beckford tries to move into range but Hopkins moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Forest Beckford has been cut.
Hopkins wants to clinch up but Beckford keeps it at a distance.
Beckford misses with an uppercut. Hopkins saw that one coming.
Beckford misses with a two punch combination.
Hopkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hopkins lands a brutal uppercut that launches Beckford off his feet! Beckford tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
