Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Sanchez (ranked 5419 p4p, 0 weight class) and Braun Strowman (ranked 5862 p4p, 0 weight class). Braun Strowman looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Braun Strowman!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strowman digs a good hook to Sanchez's body.

Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Sanchez has Strowman pressed against the cage, preventing Strowman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sanchez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strowman, pushing him back against the cage.

Strowman pulls guard.
Sanchez trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Strowman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Strowman trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.

Sanchez stands up from Strowman's guard - Sanchez perhaps looking for a knockout.

Strowman tries to keep at a distance but Sanchez has taken the fight into the clinch.
Strowman is trying to push Sanchez away but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Strowman gets control of Sanchez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Strowman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Strowman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.
Strowman has momentary wrist control but Sanchez slips an elbow through the middle.

Strowman has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Strowman throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Strowman wants to control the position but Sanchez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Sanchez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Strowman wants to get back to his feet.
Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strowman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sanchez slips a nice elbow through Strowman's hands, connecting with Strowman's forehead.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sanchez lands a nice short elbow.
Strowman has hold of Sanchez's hands but Sanchez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Strowman wants to get back to full guard.
Sanchez is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Strowman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sanchez has managed to clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sanchez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Sanchez closes the distance and pushes Strowman back into the cage.
Strowman is trying to push Sanchez away but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sanchez has picked Strowman up - he's going for a ride! Sanchez dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sanchez connects with a nice short shot to Strowman's temple.
Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Strowman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sanchez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Strowman looking for subs from the bottom but Sanchez mounts him!
The referee warns Strowman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sanchez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Sanchez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Strowman felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Strowman is bucking up trying to escape but Sanchez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Sanchez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sanchez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sanchez lands a big shot there that rocks Strowman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Strowman is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Sanchez moves into range and clinches up with Strowman.
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Strowman manages to get underhooks.

Strowman lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Sanchez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Strowman is working for a kimura but Sanchez is defending it quite comfortably.
Sanchez is concentrating on defense, preventing Strowman from advancing position.
Strowman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Strowman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Strowman's back!
The referee is taking a good look at Strowman as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Sanchez!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Strowman!
Sanchez lands a shot to the body.
Sanchez tries to keep control of the position but Strowman is staying busy.
Sanchez is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sanchez gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sanchez gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sanchez apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Braun Strowman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strowman throws a head kick that misses.
Sanchez jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Sanchez has managed to clinch.

Sanchez has his foot on Strowman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strowman works his way back into a safe position though.

Strowman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Strowman has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.
Strowman stays in close to Sanchez's body and controls the position.
Strowman is in close to Sanchez's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Strowman throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.

Sanchez moves into the clinch successfully.

Strowman gets control of Sanchez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Strowman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Sanchez is standing up over Strowman. Strowman looks to escape but Sanchez dives into side control.
You can see the frustration on Strowman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Strowman throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Strowman manages to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Benjamin Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
