Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Pettis (ranked 3413 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Steel Penn (ranked 4427 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Pettis slips a straight right by Steel Penn.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

It looked like Pettis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Steel Penn.

Pettis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steel Penn.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Steel Penn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Steel Penn tries to score with a low kick but Pettis moves his leg out of the way.
Pettis seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Steel Penn in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

The Steel Penn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jeremy Pettis.
I think Steel Penn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
