Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Shannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

27 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Abbot!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon misses with a looping left.
A solid body kick from Shannon.
Shannon looks to score with a jab to the body but Abbot is just out of range.
Shannon connects with a body shot that sends Abbot's belly button to the back.
Abbot misses with an uppercut. Shannon saw that one coming.
Shannon looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Abbot slaps away a takedown attempt from Shannon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shannon misses the jab.
Abbot swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Abbot misses with a hook
and Shannon counters by moving into the clinch.
Abbot lands a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abbot swings wildly with an uppercut but Shannon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Abbot misses with a punch to the body.
Shannon presses Abbot against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Shannon misses with a body punch.

Shannon is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Shannon is trying to pull guard but Abbot turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Shannon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Abbot pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Shannon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shannon misses the jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Abbot.
Shannon throws a hook but Abbot blocks it.
Abbot throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Abbot takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Tony Abbot has been cut.
Shannon takes a swing at Abbot's ribcage but misses.
Abbot on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Abbot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shannon moves away.
Abbot has his takedown stuffed
and Shannon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shannon stuns Abbot with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Shannon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Abbot as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Shannon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Abbot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shannon manages to avoid it.
Shannon wants to clinch.
Shannon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Shannon is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Shannon throws a hook but Abbot blocks it.
Shannon misses with a shot to the body
and Abbot counters with a straight right hand.

Shannon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Abbot was well out of range. Poor timing from Shannon.

Shannon misses with a jab, cross combination.

The fighters circle momentarily. Shannon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Shannon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Abbot drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Shannon defends it well.

Shannon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Abbot.
Shannon connects with a single shot there.
Abbot throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abbot throws a hook but Shannon avoids it easily.
Shannon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Abbot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shannon pinned against the cage. Shannon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Shannon throws a quick counter head kick but Abbot was just out of range.
Shannon connects with a solid leg kick.

Shannon lands with a thumping leg kick.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Shannon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Abbot.
Abbot lunges at Shannon with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shannon's hand.
Shannon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Abbot.
Abbot lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shannon circles away quickly and effectively.

Shannon is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That has opened up Tony Abbot's cut even more.
Shannon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Abbot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shannon moves away.
A jab from Abbot finds it's way through Shannon's defenses.
Shannon tests Abbot's chin there with a solid looking shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Shannon sends Abbot crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Shannon is motioning to the referee to let Abbot up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Shannon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abbot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Abbot blocks a jab.
Abbot is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Abbot scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shannon in his tracks.

Abbot swings widly with a right hand
and Shannon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Abbot thinking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Shannon throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Abbot is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
