Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trip Dunham (ranked 25039 p4p, 232 weight class) and Frank Martin (ranked 3626 p4p, 140 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trip Dunham!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Martin!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dunham's guard.
Dunham keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully.
Martin is looking to pass into half guard but Dunham pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Dunham is in guard.

Dunham wanted to stand there but Martin had control of the position.
Martin wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Dunham is now in half guard.

Dunham decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Martin moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martin pulls Dunham into guard.

Martin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Martin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Martin swings around for an armbar but Dunham sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Martin's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Martin darts in looking for a takedown but Dunham gets double underhooks and turns Martin into the cage.

Frank Martin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dunham wants to stand but Martin is controlling his posture from full guard.
Martin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dunham is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Martin has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Martin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dunham can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Martin wants to finish this one by submission but Dunham is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Martin.

Martin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dunham to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dunham shrugs it off.

Martin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dunham has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Martin is looking to stand but Dunham has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Martin has control of Dunham's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dunham regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Martin won't let Dunham get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Martin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Martin wants to control the pace but Dunham is squirming around nicely.

Martin get's back to his feet.

Dunham feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Martin manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Dunham wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Martin has him pressed against the cage.
Martin jumps guard but Dunham turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Trip Dunham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Martin.

Dunham decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dunham shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Martin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Dunham is looking to stand up but Martin won't let him.
Martin is pulling down on Dunham's head. It's preventing any offense from Dunham, at least for the moment.

Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dunham gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dunham decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Martin, up you get!
Dunham stuffs the takedown attempt from Martin. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Martin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Martin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dunham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dunham's back!

Martin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dunham wants to get up but he can't break Martin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Martin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dunham defend it? Martin steps over the head and cranks it - Dunham is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Martin!

A less than humble Frank Martin misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
