Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zhao Yu (ranked 8427 p4p, 637 weight class) and Miroslaw Pawlowski (ranked 8456 p4p, 638 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Miroslaw Pawlowski enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yu misses with the combination.

Pawlowski is trying to push Yu away but Yu has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Pawlowski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Yu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pawlowski napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Yu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pawlowski for as long as he can get away with.

Yu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pawlowski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Yu has an Americana. Pawlowski didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Yu is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Yu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
