Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Garbutt (ranked 485 p4p, 76 weight class) and AC Slater (ranked 459 p4p, 71 weight class). Garbutt comes to the cage accompanied by Saxon - Strong Arm of the Law. Slater is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Stop What Ya Doin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slater tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Garbutt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Slater throws a nice looking combination but Garbutt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Slater shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Slater was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

AC Slater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Slater manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garbutt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Garbutt will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Slater is nestled in close to Garbutt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Garbutt feints and then cracks Slater's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Slater down.
