Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorginho Marcelo (ranked 950 p4p, 121 weight class) and Marcinho Sitsongrit (ranked 467 p4p, 61 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Marcelo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sitsongrit sprawls well. Sitsongrit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marcelo gets slowly back to his feet.
Marcelo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sitsongrit defends well and Marcelo ends up having to push Sitsongrit into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Marcelo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Marcelo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorginho Marcelo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marcelo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sitsongrit to score with a decent uppercut.

and Marcelo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Sitsongrit wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sitsongrit lands a body shot.
Sitsongrit slaps away a takedown attempt from Marcelo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Sitsongrit counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You can see the frustration on Marcelo's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Marcelo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sitsongrit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sitsongrit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Sitsongrit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
