The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam shoots for a takedown but Douglas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Adam clinches up against the cage.

Douglas manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Douglas sneaks out the side door and pushes Adam away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Adam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Douglas circles away quickly and effectively.
Adam fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Douglas on the side of the head.

Niki Adam has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Douglas tries to roll over but Adam keeps him under control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Douglas is staying active underneath Adam, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Adam looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Adam is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Douglas still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Douglas has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
