Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Har Ambe (ranked 427 p4p, 48 weight class) and AB Positive (ranked 1014 p4p, 106 weight class). Ambe comes to the ring accompanied by Boosie - Set it Off. Har Ambe had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Har Ambe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, AB Positive! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ambe wants to clinch. Positive steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ambe. Ambe drives through and clinches with Positive against the ropes.
Ambe scores with a shoulder strike. Ambe tries to score a body lock takedown but Positive shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Positive lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Positive throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Ambe tightens his grip and picks Positive up, before dumping him to the ground. Positive manages to land in guard. Positive wants to get back to his feet but Ambe is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Ambe has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ambe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Positive parries the strikes from Ambe easily there. Ambe is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Positive to escape.

Ambe is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Positive will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Ambe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Positive is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ambe throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Positive works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Ambe is looking to advance position but Positive won't allow it. Positive really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ambe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Positive wants to get back to his feet.
Positive has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Ambe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ambe not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ambe slips a nice elbow through Positive's hands, connecting with Positive's forehead. Positive keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ambe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ambe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ambe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Positive tries to kick Ambe off but Ambe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Positive avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ambe. Positive is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ambe tries to pass to full mount but Positive defends it. Ambe is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ambe scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Positive won't allow Ambe to pass to mount. Ambe is keen to just control but Positive is a slippery customer.

Positive must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ambe is looking for a triangle but Positive pushes his legs off easily.

Positive manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. AB Positive is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ambe closes the distance and clinches. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Positive just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ambe's brow. Ambe is trying to pull guard but Positive turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Positive misses with an elbow over the top. Ambe moves to clinch but Positive breaks away and Positive counters with an inside leg kick. Positive throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Let's see what he can do from the top position. Ambe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Positive avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ambe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ambe pushes down on Positive's leg and manages to get into half guard. Har Ambe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ambe wants to pass the guard but Positive is keeping the position. Ambe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
