Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Puzo (ranked 606 p4p, 79 weight class) and Matt Quin (ranked 921 p4p, 114 weight class). Puzo comes to the cage accompanied by Speak Softly Love. Quin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Captain Jack - Iko Iko. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puzo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Quin was well out of range. Poor timing from Puzo.
Quin with the counter takedown but Puzo avoids it easily.
Quin looks to land a right hand but Puzo moved out of range.
Matt Quin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Puzo.

Quin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Puzo's guard.

Puzo can't keep his opponent in guard - Quin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Puzo's head.
Quin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Puzo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Quin working his ground and pound in the gym.

Quin is looking to advance position but Puzo won't allow it.

Quin cracks a nice hook into Puzo's ribs.
Puzo shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Puzo throws a jab when Quin was well out of range.

Quin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Puzo.
Puzo looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

A close round but Matt Quin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Quin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Puzos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Puzo.
