Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Staal (ranked 240 p4p, 31 weight class) and Pablo Mara�on (ranked 102 p4p, 15 weight class). Mara�on is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pistolero. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staal drops his hands momentarily and Mara�on takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mara�on throws a looping overhand right but Staal ducks down to avoid it.
Mara�on scores with a nice body kick.
Mara�on lands with a slapping head kick.
Staal cracks Mara�on with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Both fighters circling a little - Mara�on finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Mara�on throws a wild body kick that Staal sees coming a mile off.
Pablo Mara�on seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mara�on lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Staal crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mara�on - the referee stops the clock and Staal gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mara�on. Staal manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
