Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Moura (ranked 260 p4p, 35 weight class) and Ludvig Ericsson (ranked 566 p4p, 92 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ericsson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ericsson lands in his opponent's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Moura's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Moura utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Moura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ericsson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moura is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ericsson defends well.

Ericsson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Moura's head.
Ericsson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Moura throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Ericsson wants to control from the top but Moura keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ericsson winds up and cracks Moura with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ericsson connects with a nice short shot to Moura's temple.

Moura bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ericsson's guard.
Ericsson pulls Moura in close to prevent any damage.
Moura is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ericsson is on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ludvig Ericsson dominated that round.
That's time! Moura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ericsson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Moura was covering up waiting for the punch and Ericsson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Moura looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ericsson stands up over Moura, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Moura has an active guard here but Ericsson has managed to pass into half guard.

Moura is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ericsson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ericsson's back!

The referee is taking a good look at Ericsson as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Moura!
Ericsson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Moura has the hooks in. Ericsson is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Moura passes his arm under Ericsson's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Ericsson taps!
