Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernier throws a sloppy head kick
so Knowles counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bernier is trying to keep Knowles in close.
Bernier tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Knowles's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bernier lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Knowles is looking for a triangle but Bernier pushes his legs off easily.
Knowles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Knowles wants to stand up but Bernier is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knowles wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bernier with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knowles looking to control.
Knowles is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bernier is aware though and is defending well.
Bernier throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Knowles works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bernier is working Knowles over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bernier chips away with some ground and pound.
Bernier stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Bernier catches Knowles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Knowles is rocked!
Knowles get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Knowles stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Bernier runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bruce Bernier!
