Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joshua Fendi! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fendi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Washington has clasped his hands together around Fendi's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Washington trying to control the position but Fendi is working away. Fendi manages to work his way to half guard, despite Washington's best efforts. Washington missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Washington working over Fendi with some ground and pound. Fendi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Fendi wants to get back to full guard. Fendi pushes Washington off looking to stand but Washington dives back in and keeps control.
Washington lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Washington takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Washington winds up and cracks Fendi with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Fendi trying to hold on to Washington's head to control him but Washington postures up.
Washington working the head and body with strikes. Washington is nestled in close to Fendi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fendi wants to improve his position but Washington is controlling well.

Washington missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Washington lands strikes from half guard. Washington looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fendi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Washington winds up and cracks Fendi with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Washington thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fendi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Washington throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fendi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Washington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fendi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Washington in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Washington keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fendi's head. Fendi is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fendi looking for a sweep. Not yet Fendi, not yet. Washington trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fendi has momentary wrist control but Washington slips an elbow through the middle. Fendi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Washington is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Fendi controls Washington momentarily but Washington frees himself. Washington postures up in Fendi's guard and throws a big left but Fendi blocks it. Washington won't allow Fendi to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Washington works over Fendi with some ground and pound from guard. Washington is working Fendi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Washington landing with the ground and pound. Washington lands a couple of elbows. Washington will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fendi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Fendi looks winded! Washington would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fendi has momentary wrist control but Washington slips an elbow through the middle. Washington drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Washington jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Washington working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Washington is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Washington throws a strike but Fendi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Washington has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fendi looking to pass the guard. Fendi is looking to clinch but Washington is avoiding it.
Washington really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Washington shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fendi scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Washington closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fendi circles away. Fendi dives in for a single leg takedown but Washington sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Washington manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fendi on his heels. He'll look to pass Fendi's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fendi pulls Washington in to control the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Washington accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Washington works over Fendi with some ground and pound from guard. Washington working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fendi's head. Fendi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Washington controls the pace. Washington trying to control the position from guard on top but Fendi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fendi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Washington is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fendi can do to turn this around? Washington scoring with punches to the head and body. Fendi tries for a takedown but Washington circles away easily and Washington counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fendi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Washington pinned against the cage. Washington gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hilario Washington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joshua Fendi. Fendi is breathing heavily. Fendi gets a double leg takedown into Washington's guard.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fendi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fendi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fendi is fighting to break Washington's control of his arms but Washington is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Washington has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fendi throws a big right hand that misses. Fendi slips nicely into half guard. Fendi is trying to control the action in half guard but Washington is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Washington wants to control but Fendi is keeping busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fendi dives in for a single leg takedown but Washington sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Washington throws a big counter combination but Fendi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Washington shoots in but Fendi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Washington tries to clinch up but Fendi circles away and keeps his distance. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fendi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Washington seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Washington doesn't manage to clinch there - Fendi circles away.
Fendi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Washington on his heels. He'll look to pass Washington's guard now, I'm sure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Joshua Fendi will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Washington swats away the attempt to clinch by Fendi. Fendi is looking to clinch. Fendi tries to clinch but Washington is having none of it. Fendi wants to clinch but Washington slips to the side and Washington counters with a left to the body. Washington misses with a few strikes there.
Fendi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Washington is holding Fendi down, trying to stall. Fendi fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Fendi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Fendi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Washington, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on Washington's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Washington manages to get back to half guard. Washington is trying to maintain the position but Fendi is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fendi is looking to take a break and control but Washington is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Fendi is nestled in close to Washington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Fendi misses with a head shot. Washington uses the momentum to regain guard. Washington keeping moving, preventing Fendi from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fendi shoots in looking for a takedown. Washington tries to sprawl out of it but Fendi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Washington manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Washington fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fendi to the ground. Washington is now in Fendi's guard. Fendi is pulling down on Washington's head. It's preventing any offense from Washington, at least for the moment. Fendi is trying to control the position but Washington postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Washington works over Fendi with some ground and pound from guard. Fendi wants to stand up but Washington is controlling him. Fendi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Washington lands a couple of digs. Washington content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Washington throwing strikes but missing. Washington scoring with some ground and pound. Fendi has momentary wrist control but Washington slips an elbow through the middle. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Washington landing some decent shots from guard. Washington scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Washington decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fendi, up you get!
