13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Wildhauser! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wildhauser looking to score a takedown here. Ruta is defending well but Wildhauser drives through and ends up in Ruta's guard. Wildhauser trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wildhauser is looking to pass into half guard but Ruta pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Ruta is in guard. Wildhauser is pulling down on Ruta's head to control his posture. Ruta loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wildhauser controlling Ruta's posture. Ruta would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wildhauser looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wildhauser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wildhauser is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Wildhauser seems to be looking for submissions.
Wildhauser maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ruta could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Wildhauser has cracked it and Ruta is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Wildhauser!
