Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Goldstein (ranked 55 p4p, 4 weight class) and Michael Brakeley (ranked 289 p4p, 28 weight class). Brakeley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Woke up this Morning. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Samson Goldstein! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Brakeley! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goldstein closes the distance and clinches. Goldstein swings wildly with an uppercut but Brakeley uses good head movement to avoid it. Brakeley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Goldstein feints and then cracks Brakeley's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brakeley down. Goldstein throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Goldstein instigates a clinch. Goldstein throws a head punch that misses. Brakeley is trying to push Goldstein away but Goldstein has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Brakeley is trying to force a seperation but Goldstein has the dominant position. Brakeley wants to break the clinch but can't.
Brakeley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Goldstein avoids the head kick by Brakeley.
As Brakeley tries to get set, Goldstein tries to push him back and clinch up but Brakeley manages to avoid the attempt. Goldstein swings for the body but Brakeley moves out of range.
Goldstein lands with an uppercut that bounces Brakeley off the cage and back into range. A shot to the liver by Brakeley. Beautiful body shot. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Brakeley!
It looks like Samson Goldstein has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Goldstein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Brakeley throws a big shot that misses. Goldstein lands a nice hook to Brakeley's body. Brakeley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Goldstein works the jab nicely. Goldstein gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brakeley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Goldstein has closed the distance and engaged Brakeley in a clinch.

Goldstein goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Goldstein digs a right hand underneath Brakeley's ribcage. Brakeley let out a lung full of air as it connected. Brakeley blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Goldstein cracks Brakeley with a nice body shot. A short right hand to the side of the head by Goldstein. Goldstein goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Brakeley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Goldstein tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brakeley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brakeley lands with a nice combination. Goldstein backs away looking to recover. Goldstein scores with a jab. Samson Goldstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brakeley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brakeley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Brakeley scores with a decent looking hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Goldstein takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Goldstein lands a nice looking body shot.
Brakeley looks winded! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Goldstein crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Brakeley - the referee stops the clock and Goldstein gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Brakeley. Goldstein manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Brakeley looks to score with a jab to the body but Goldstein is just out of range. Goldstein walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldstein fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brakeley, pushing him back against the cage. Goldstein throws a head punch that misses. Brakeley working hard to break the clinch. Goldstein fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short body shot lands from Goldstein as the two fighters clinch.
Goldstein goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Goldstein lands a hook to the side of the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Goldstein. Goldstein gets through Brakeley's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Goldstein working some nice short punches in the clinch. Brakeley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Goldstein softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Brakeley's face as he tries to break the clinch. Brakeley manages to break the clinch.
Brakeley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Brakeley takes a jab right on the kisser.
Goldstein cracks Brakeley with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Goldstein has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Brakeley to stand back up!
Brakeley is rocked! Goldstein closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brakeley is still on wobbly legs! Can Goldstein finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goldstein cracks Brakeley with a nice body shot. Brakeley seems to have recovered his senses. Goldstein lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Goldstein lands a nice shot to the body. Goldstein misses with the head strike.
Brakeley has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Goldstein seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Brakeley can turn it around. Brakeley working hard to break the clinch. Goldstein lands a body punch. A short right from Goldstein on the inside. Goldstein misses with a short punch on the inside. Brakeley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Goldstein has him pressed against the cage. Goldstein lands a nice uppercut. Goldstein digs a right hand underneath Brakeley's ribcage. Brakeley let out a lung full of air as it connected. Goldstein drops Brakeley onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Brakeley is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Goldstein tries to throw a body punch but Brakeley avoids it by throwing Goldstein back against the cage. Goldstein pushes off and lands a massive hook that knocks Brakeley out cold! The fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Samson Goldstein! Samson Goldstein retains his heavyweight title! After the fight, Samson Goldstein was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. The defeated Michael Brakeley had this to say: 'yo, man this is bullshit.'.
