Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Vazov (ranked 2785 p4p, 282 weight class) and Mauricio Macri (ranked 3123 p4p, 301 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macri doesn't manage to clinch there - Vazov circles away.
Vazov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A big left from Macri misses.
Vazov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Macri sprawls well. Macri wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vazov gets slowly back to his feet.
Macri rushes Vazov and presses him up against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've been hearing that Vazov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vazov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Macri's guard.

Macri postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vazov is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Macri, into his guard.
Vazov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
