And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cam Newton!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punchy throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Punchy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Newton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Punchy slips a jab and a cross from Newton.
Newton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Punchy.
Newton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Punchy.
Newton lands with a good body shot.
Punchy misses the shot to the body.
Newton looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Punchy throws a poor cross that misses
and Punchy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Punchy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Punchy misses with a looping left.
Punchy feints and then cracks Newton's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Newton down.
Newton throws a body punch but Punchy moves out of range.
Punchy scores with a jab. Newton acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Punchy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Newton under the eye.
A big right from Newton misses.
Cam Newton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Punchy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Newton's head backwards.
Punchy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Newton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Punchy was well out of range. Poor timing from Newton.
A telegraphed right hand from Newton misses the target.
Punchy looks to score with a jab to the body but Newton is just out of range.
Newton looks to land a left hand but Punchy moved out of range nicely.

and Newton counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Newton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Punchy throws the left hand but Newton avoids the punch easily.

Punchy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Punchy there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice sprawl there from Newton as Punchy shoots in.
Newton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Newton throws a series of punches but Punchy avoids them all with ease.
Punchy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Newton.
Punchy misses with a right hand
and Newton counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Newton moves out of range of the strikes.
Newton connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Punchy's hands.
Punchy throws a right hand that misses
enabling Newton to counter with a crisp jab.
Newton throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Punchy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Newton misses with a straight right.
A left lands for Punchy.
Trent Punchy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newton keeps the fight on the outside.
Newton ducks right into an uppercut from Punchy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Newton scores with a sloppy right hand. Punchy should have avoided that one.
Newton takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Newton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Punchy throws a jab but it's blocked by Newton.
Nice cross by Punchy.


Newton is rocked!
Punchy slips under a jab from Newton.
Punchy tries to counter with a takedown but Newton is quick to defend against it.
Newton is still on wobbly legs! Can Punchy finish him?
Newton misses with an uppercut. Punchy saw that one coming.
Newton cracks Punchy with a good jab.
Newton seems to have recovered his senses.
Punchy feints a jab promting Newton to slip. Punchy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Newton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Newton throws a wild hook but Punchy just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Newton gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Punchy raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Trent Punchy!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Trent Punchy waved his t-shirt featuring FORCEE's logo in front of the cameras.
