Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Noble (ranked 25071 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Jones (ranked 5512 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Jones!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Noble gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Noble pushes Jones off and scrambles back to his feet.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones is trying to force a seperation but Noble has the dominant position.

Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Noble regains guard.
Noble keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Noble controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones passes Noble's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura but Noble is defending well.
Noble wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones throwing shots but Noble is blocking nicely.
Noble wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Noble keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is pressing down on Noble's thigh, looking to free his foot. Noble is holding on for now.

Jones trying to pass the guard but Noble defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Noble napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Noble is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Noble has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jones but great work by Noble.

Jones keeping his opponent close.
Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jones tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Jones keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by Noble.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Noble has control of the leg.
Noble is controlling the pace.
Jones wants to control but Noble is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ray Jones will probably get the nod.
That's time! Noble's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Noble shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
A head kick misses from Jones.

Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Noble to the mat! Noble manages to get full guard.
Noble has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jones has passed into side control.

Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into Noble's guard.

Noble working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jones has passed into half guard!

Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Noble wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Noble blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones.

Noble looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Jones shoots in and bounces Noble off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Noble has his feet on Jones's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.

Jones throws a series of strikes that have Noble backpedaling.


It looks like Lewis Noble has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.

Ray Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Lewis Noble's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Jones gets a clinch.

Jones works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Noble pushes Jones off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Noble wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Noble can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

Noble has control of Jones's left arm, preventing Jones from doing any damage.
Jones throwing strikes but missing.
Noble is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Noble keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Noble tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Noble's guard.

Noble is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Noble was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Noble can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Noble is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jones advances to half guard.
Jones content to control rather than advance.
Noble might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jones frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Noble tries to lock up and control but Jones gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ray Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
