Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Franklin (ranked 4284 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael MP (ranked 4734 p4p, 0 weight class). MP is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Whitesnake - Is This Love?. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin throws a series of punches but MP avoids them all with ease.
Franklin misses with a wild combination.
MP is looking for the big counter here.
Franklin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Despite the aggression on MP's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Franklin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and MP counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
MP is chipping away with strikes.

Franklin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but MP moves away.
Franklin tries to bum rush MP with a series of wild strikes but MP uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Franklin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from MP.

Franklin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Franklin wants it to stay on the feet.
MP changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Franklin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
