Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Barack Obama (ranked 1457 p4p, 70 weight class) and Scott Page (ranked 1760 p4p, 87 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Page's choice of entrance music: Suspicious Minds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Page is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Obama is keeping busy.

Page is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Page dives in for a single leg takedown but Obama sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Page might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Obama haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Obama lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Page down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Obama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Page stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Barack Obama will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
