Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maxxy Baby (ranked 772 p4p, 85 weight class) and Sergei Babakov (ranked 1573 p4p, 156 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babakov throws a hook but Baby avoids it easily.
Baby swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Baby throws out a loose jab but Babakov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Babakov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Baby wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Baby drops his hands momentarily and Babakov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Baby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Babakov circles away quickly and effectively.
Babakov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Baby throws a right and a left that both miss.

Babakov lands a left and a right that send Baby crashing to the mat, dazed. Babakov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Baby rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Babakov counters with a crisp right that sends Baby to the canvas! Babakov follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
