Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Power (ranked 2120 p4p, 107 weight class) and Dominick Bruise (ranked 4788 p4p, 251 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Power! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Bruise! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power thows a leg kick but Bruise checks it and Bruise counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bruise looks to land a left hand but Power moved out of range nicely. Power throws a jab but it's blocked by Bruise. Bruise scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Power is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bruise. Power is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bruise misses with a right hand and Power counters with a nice uppercut. Power misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It seemed like Bruise was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Power takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Power forces Bruise back against the cage and clinches. A short right from Power. Power misses with a punch on the inside.
Bruise tries to land knees in the clinch but Power avoids the damage to the body. Power throws a knee to the head but misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bruise leaning against his opponent.
Bruise blocking some punches.
Power swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bruise blocks a punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Bruise prevents a body shot from Power. Bruise leaning against his opponent.
Bruise tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Bruise lands a good knee to the midsection. Power won't want to take too many of those. Power misses with a knee to the head. I was talking to Power's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Power blocks an elbow strike from Bruise.

Power throws a punch but it's blocked by Bruise. Power throws a head punch that misses. Power lands a left hand.
Bruise blocks an uppercut.
Bruise prevents Power from breaking the clinch. Power lands a left hand.
Power misses with a hook from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bruise throws a knee to the head but misses.
Power has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Power lands with a light punch inside. Power fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

This has been an exciting period of action! Power avoids a wild elbow strike from Bruise. Bruise is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Power gets through Bruise's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Bruise managing to block the knees to the body from Power.
Bruise will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Power up against the cage. Power blocks an elbow strike. Bruise dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Power throws a head punch that misses. Power is working Bruise over against the cage. Bruise trying to control the position but instead, Power has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bruise into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Power ducks right into an uppercut from Bruise. Bruise lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Power at a distance.
Power avoids the body shot from Bruise.
Power connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bruise closes the distance and clinches up with Power, looking for a takedown. Bruise pushes Power against the cage but Power circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A swing and a miss from Bruise. Bruise stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Bruise gets tackled into the cage by Power. Power maintains the clinch. Bruise blocks an uppercut.
Bruise throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bruise breaks from the clinch.
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Bruise avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bruise blocks the body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bruise looks like he wants to counter punch here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Power throws a head kick that misses. Power cracks Bruise with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Bruise throws out a loose jab but Power uses good head movement to avoid it. Bruise scores with a leg kick.
Power tries to clinch up. A big right from Bruise misses. Power is looking for a counter combo. Power takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Power looks to throw the jab but Bruise is out of range. Bruise misses with an uppercut. Power saw that one coming. Power wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A punch lands to the side of Power 's head but he takes it in his stride. Power throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Power throws a right and a left that Bruise avoids nicely. Bruise moves out of range of the leg kick from Power. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Power will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Power. Bruise does a little dance to reset his feet. Bruise only half commits to the counter leg kick. Power connects with a single shot there. Power looks to throw the jab but Bruise is out of range. Bruise lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Bruise cracks Power with an open hand slap. Nice jab there from Power. Bruise throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Power feints and then cracks Bruise's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bruise down. Bruise uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Power. Bruise takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Thomas Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Power wants to clinch up but Bruise keeps it at a distance. Bruise flicks out a counter leg kick but Power steps away. Power misses with a combination
and Bruise counters with a lovely straight right hand! Dominick Bruise seems to be getting the better of the standup. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Power throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Bruise to counter with a crisp jab. A low kick from Power misses and Bruise counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bruise throws a hook but Power avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bruise's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bruise duly obliges. Power dips to his left and cracks Bruise with an uppercut! Power closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Power throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bruise. Power on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bruise misses with a takedown attempt - Power sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bruise takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Bruise is rocked! Thomas Power is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Power changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bruise, as that shot connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bruise takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bruise is still on wobbly legs! Can Power finish him? Power cracks Bruise with a hook to the temple - Bruise is on wobbly legs here! Power swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Bruise falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Power wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Thomas Power! Thomas Power tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
