Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Castor Antonopolous (ranked 7211 p4p, 534 weight class) and Saleh Hassan (ranked 7534 p4p, 547 weight class). Saleh Hassan struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antonopolous shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hassan pinned against the ropes. Hassan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hassan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Hassan slips under a jab from Antonopolous.
Hassan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Antonopolous scores with a jab. Hassan acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Hassan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hassan tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Antonopolous manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hassan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Antonopolous is trying to defend but Hassan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Antonopolous is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hassan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hassan's back!
Antonopolous working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hassan is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Antonopolous has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hassan taps out!
