Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Young Spray (ranked 6776 p4p, 382 weight class) and Ade Takulai (ranked 5747 p4p, 360 weight class). Ade Takulai is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Young Spray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ade Takulai!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takulai tries to move into range but Spray moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Takulai misses with a head kick.
Spray on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Takulai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Spray displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takulai.
Spray tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takulai was well out of range. Poor timing from Spray.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takulai shoots in looking for a takedown. Spray tries to sprawl out of it but Takulai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Young Spray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ade Takulai.
Takulai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Spray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Takulai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

It looked like Spray was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Spray looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spray cracks Takulai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ade Takulai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A little jabbing left from Takulai on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Young Spray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Spray darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A quick step to the side and Spray tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Takulai closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spray to the mat! Spray manages to get full guard.
Spray wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Takulai manages to pass to side control.


Takulai in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Spray tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Takulai!
