Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Parnevik (ranked 816 p4p, 103 weight class) and Terrence Thornton (ranked 1154 p4p, 132 weight class). Parnevik comes to the cage accompanied by Montana of 300 - Here Now. Thornton is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pusha T - Exodus 23:1. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesper Parnevik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terrence Thornton! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parnevik throws a low kick, looking for Thornton's leg but Thornton calmly moves out of range. Parnevik is looking to chop away at Thornton's legs. Thornton now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Terrence Thornton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parnevik is looking to score with low kicks. Parnevik displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thornton throws out the jab. Thornton has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Parnevik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Thornton to score with a decent uppercut. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Parnevik lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Thornton has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Thornton and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Thornton checks a low kick from Parnevik. Thornton throws a one two combo.
Thornton lands with a shot to the body. Parnevik takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Thornton on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Parnevik scores with a hook.
It looks like Terrence Thornton has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Parnevik takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Thornton tries a low kick but Parnevik avoids it. It looked like Parnevik was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Thornton. Thornton cracks Parnevik with a good jab. Thornton lands a nice looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parnevik throws a body kick that misses. Jesper Parnevik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Parnevik throws a lazy uppercut
and Thornton counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A jab from Thornton finds it's way through Parnevik's defenses. Thornton lands the left hand. Parnevik lets loose with a powerful body kick. Thornton will feel that in the morning. Thornton tests Parnevik's chin there with a solid looking shot. Parnevik scoring well with a low kick there.
A cross from Parnevik lands. Thornton keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Parnevik. Parnevik tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Thornton needs to keep his hands up - Parnevik had a free shot at his head there.
Thornton is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Thornton lands a head shot. Parnevik dodges the punch combination from Thornton.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thornton digs a good body shot into Parnevik's ribs. Parnevik closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Parnevik showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thornton.
Parnevik needs to keep his hands up - Thornton had a free shot at his head there. Thornton digs a good body shot into Parnevik's ribs. Thornton misses with a series of wild punches.
Thornton scores with a hook to the body. Parnevik takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Thornton dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Parnevik takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Parnevik loads up on a big right hand but Thornton slips the punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thornton stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Parnevik. Parnevik scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Thornton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Parnevik lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Parnevik is looking to score with low kicks. Parnevik throws out a loose jab but Thornton uses good head movement to avoid it. Thornton takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Parnevik drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Parnevik shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Thornton throws out a counter right but Parnevik avoids it with no problem. Thornton takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Parnevik throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Thornton now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Parnevik takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thornton throws a push kick but Parnevik slaps the foot to one side. Thornton slips a jab from Parnevik. Thornton thuds his right hand into Parnevik's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parnevik throws a low kick but it's checked well by Thornton. Parnevik tries to clinch but Thornton moves out of range. Parnevik throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Thornton tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Parnevik moves away from the strike by Thornton. Thornton throws a body shot but no joy. Parnevik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Thornton moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Parnevik takes one to the chin there. Thornton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Parnevik. Thornton checks a low kick from Parnevik. Parnevik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Thornton bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Thornton steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Parnevik. That one must have hurt. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parnevik lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thornton at a distance.

That has opened up Terrence Thornton's cut even more. Parnevik drops Thornton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thornton looks back up at him and smiles so Parnevik waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Thornton is still on wobbly legs! Can Parnevik finish him? Thornton throws a sloppy head kick and Parnevik moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Terrence Thornton will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Terrence Thornton's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Thornton throws an overhand right that lands on Parnevik's shoulder, as Parnevik tries to avoid the shot. Parnevik smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Parnevik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Thornton to score with a decent uppercut. A low kick from Parnevik is predictable there and Thornton counters with a straight right hand. Parnevik dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thornton. That did some damage! Thornton's corner calls for a 1-2. Thornton obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Parnevik looks for the body kick but Thornton saw that one coming. Thornton is looking to slow Parnevik down with leg kicks. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thornton throws a hook to the side of Parnevik's head but Parnevik sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Thornton slips under a jab from Parnevik.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thornton blocks a leg kick. Thornton lands with a nice combination. Parnevik backs away looking to recover. Thornton slips a jab and a cross from Parnevik.
Terrence Thornton seems to be getting the better of the standup. Thornton scores with a nice strike. Parnevik misses with a looping right. Parnevik throws a right and a left that both miss. Thornton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Parnevik was well out of range. Poor timing from Thornton. Thornton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Parnevik.
Parnevik is rocked! Thornton drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Parnevik right on the button. Parnevik goes down! Thornton follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Thornton gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrence Thornton! Terrence Thornton was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
