Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chara Zaad (ranked 1208 p4p, 193 weight class) and Cal Klos (ranked 2011 p4p, 267 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klos moves out of range of the strikes.
Klos shoots and misses
and Zaad counters with a right hand to the body.
Klos keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Klos, as that shot connected.
Zaad jabs Klos to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Klos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zaad is fending him off so far but Klos persists. Nope, Zaad circles away and we're back to standing.
A little feinted left hand from Zaad on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Klos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zaad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Klos moves away.
Klos has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zaad has a couple of punches blocked by Klos.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Klos scores with a shoulder strike.
Zaad throws a punch but it's blocked by Klos.
Zaad misses with the head strike.
Zaad tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Klos's elbow.
Klos fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Zaad lands a left hand that snaps the head of Klos backwards.

Zaad has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Zaad digs a good body shot into Klos's ribs.

and Klos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zaad thinking.
Klos swings widly with a right hand
and Zaad counters with a stiff right hand.
Klos is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zaad.
Zaad is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Klos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zaad to the mat! Zaad manages to get full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Klos's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Zaad wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Klos lands a nice short elbow.

Klos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Klos lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Zaad is rocked!
Klos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zaad with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Zaad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Klos lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Zaad! More strikes land and this one is all over! Klos jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cal Klos!
Cal Klos opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
