Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rico Cole (ranked 1393 p4p, 167 weight class) and Chris Nilan (ranked 3312 p4p, 353 weight class). Cole kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gerardo's Rico Suave. Nilan has chosen No Love as his entrance music. Chris Nilan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilan misses with an uppercut.
Rico Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nilan clinches up against the cage.

Nilan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cole's elbow.
Cole can't find room to land a body shot as Nilan controls the action.

Cole wants the takedown. Nilan is fighting it off but Cole persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nilan's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Cole lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nilan circles away quickly and effectively.

As Nilan backs away, Cole returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
