The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz shoots in and drives through. Dedmon sprawls well.
Ruiz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dedmon closes the distance and clinches.

Dedmon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ruiz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dedmon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ruiz's waist but Ruiz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dedmon off to one side.

That was a close second round but I would say that Maximo Ruiz will probably get the nod.

Ruiz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dedmon manages to get himself to full guard.

Well Dedmon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
