Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Noir (ranked 3662 p4p, 427 weight class) and Pierre St George (ranked 6441 p4p, 586 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Noir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre St George! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noir jabbing away but nothing is landing. St George drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Noir defends it well. St George uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Noir. Noir misses with a hook. St George ducked under it nicely. Noir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from St George.
Noir takes a swing at St George's ribcage but misses. Noir throws a hook but St George blocks it. Noir closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St George has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Noir is working away from the top position though. St George is concentrating on defense, preventing Noir from advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noir winds up and cracks St George with a swinging punch to the side of the head. St George tries to get to full guard but Noir has control of the leg. Noir looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. St George is trying to maintain the position but Noir is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noir working St George over with strikes. Noir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. St George is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. St George trying to control from the bottom.

St George felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Ground and pound from Noir. Noir is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. St George trying to control from the bottom.
Noir lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. St George has hold of Noir's hands but Noir slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Noir working the head and body with strikes. Noir looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Noir drops an elbow to the side of St George's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Noir is controlling the pace.
St George actively working from the bottom here. St George is in trouble now - Noir has advanced to mount! Noir landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Noir swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and St George is now in Noir's guard. A big mistake from Noir there, giving up the dominant position! Noir is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Noir is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. St George trying to control but Noir is working from the bottom. Noir looking to hit a scissor sweep but St George is one step ahead there. Noir lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Noir sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Noir scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Noir tries to free his leg and advance position but St George is retaining full guard. Noir is in close to St George's body, working some short punches and elbows. Noir scoring with punches to the head and body. Noir slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Noir keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of St George's head. Noir controls from within his opponent's guard. Noir trying to control the position from guard on top but St George is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. St George is trying to control the position from the bottom.

James Noir dominated that round. That's time! Noir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Noir looks to score with a jab to the body but St George is just out of range. Noir misses the jab. Pierre St George is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. St George throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. St George misses with a looping left. St George keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
St George tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Noir scores with a hook to the body. St George takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Noir scores with a crisp jab that stopped St George in his tracks. Noir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but St George manages to avoid it. St George misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St George takes one on the chin but seems OK.
St George gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Noir to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Noir wants to pass the guard but St George is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noir controlling from the top position. Noir seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down St George for as long as he can get away with. Noir wants to control from the top but St George keeps moving. Noir lands a couple of decent looking shots. Noir is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Noir sitting in guard here, content to control. Noir stands up over St George, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. St George pulls Noir in close to his closed guard and prevents Noir from doing any damage or advancing position. Noir content to stall in guard here. Noir preventing the sweep. St George is trying to control the position but Noir postures up. Noir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. James Noir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. St George has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Noir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

St George is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Noir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Noir drops back looking for a leg! St George is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and St George manages to kick Noir off! Noir jumps back into St George's guard. St George keeping full guard, as Noir tries to pass. St George working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Noir has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Noir performing his best blanket impression for a moment. St George taking some punishment here, with Noir in his half guard. Noir is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. St George regains full guard. Nicely done. St George has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Noir can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Noir is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Noir dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Noir fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Noir changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. St George ducks under a wild hook from Noir. Noir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
St George looks to land a combination but Noir avoids it well. St George throws a half hearted mid kick. Noir feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits St Georges jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Noir scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A lull in the action here. Noir lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear St George down.
This has been an exciting period of action! St George is looking to regain half guard here but Noir keeps moving and retains side control. St George is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noir works to advance to full mount. St George defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. St George is bucking up trying to escape but Noir cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Noir lands with some vicious ground and pound - can St George hang on? St George tries to hold on but Noir pushes him away. Noir is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. St George can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Noir controlling the position easily from mount. Noir lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Noir is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that St George can do to turn this around? Noir with a couple of short strikes.
St George is rocked! Noir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. St George is still in real trouble! Can Noir finish him? St George is looking to get to half guard. Noir cracks St George with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
