Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Granger!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Granger getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Baker on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Baker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Granger manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Baker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A right hook to the body lands for Granger.
Baker struggles to land a body shot inside as Granger controls his hands.
Granger wants to get back to striking at distance but Baker won't allow it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Granger takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Baker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Baker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hardpunch (13 Elite / 1000$ in the buildup to the fight.
Granger uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Granger ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Baker throws a right hand that misses
and Granger counters with a stiff right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baker throws a body punch but Granger moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Granger. Those never looked like landing.
Granger scores with a punch to the head.

Baker has closed the distance and engaged Granger in a clinch.

Baker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Granger dips to his left and cracks Baker with an uppercut!
Granger rushes Baker with punches - Baker moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Baker goes down! Granger follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). George Granger!
