Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Douglas (ranked 520 p4p, 66 weight class) and Elmore James (ranked 591 p4p, 75 weight class). Douglas comes to the cage accompanied by Go For a Soda by Kim Mitchell. James has chosen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aMfD2O9Gds as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 23 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Douglas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elmore James! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Douglas misses the shot to the body. Douglas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. James fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Douglas sprawls well initially but James persists and gets the takedown into half guard. James is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Douglas still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Douglas has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! James avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Douglas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Check out the look on Douglas's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

No, Douglas has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted. We've been hearing good reports from Douglas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

It looked like Douglas was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from James. Jack Douglas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. James tries to close the distance and clinch but Douglas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Douglas throws a nice outside leg kick. Douglas lands with a straight right. James didn't see that one coming. Douglas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. James throws a series of punches but Douglas avoids them all with ease. Douglas tries to score a power double leg takedown but James sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Douglas somewhat. James slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. James shoots in but no luck this time. Douglas's jab looks to have found its range, popping James under the eye. James throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Douglas sees it coming and avoids it easily. Douglas scores with a jab. James acknowledges it with a nod of the head. James misses with a hook. James looks to land a left hand but Douglas moved out of range nicely. Douglas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Douglas misses with a hook. Douglas tests James's chin there with a solid looking shot. James's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Douglas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. James is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

James tries to pass the half guard into mount. Douglas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Douglas will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A decent looking cross lands there for James. Douglas misses with a hook. James ducked under it nicely. Nice straight punches there by James. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of James. James shoots in for a takedown but Douglas shows good takedown defense. Douglas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Douglas lands a leg kick that knocks James off balance momentarily. James looks to land a left hand but Douglas moved out of range nicely. A swing and a miss from James. James closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. James throws the left hand but Douglas avoids the punch easily. James takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. James staying out of range there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A good leg kick by Douglas. James throws a leg kick that is checked and Douglas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Douglas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Douglas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Douglas connects with an inside leg kick. Douglas has escaped and now he's on top! James trying to keep a closed guard but Douglas is proving a slippery customer.

James is looking to control Douglas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can James avoid being mounted? Douglas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Douglas landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. James wants to control but Douglas is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Douglas lands a nice short elbow. Douglas drops an elbow to the side of James's head. James looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Douglas is nestled in close to James, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Douglas trying to control the pace. James has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Douglas escapes and passes into side control at the same time. And that's the end of the fight! Jack Douglas showed his dominance in that final round. Well Douglas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
