Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asa Sharp (ranked 1918 p4p, 217 weight class) and Dimitri Vasleyiev (ranked 2292 p4p, 263 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasleyiev takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Sharp tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vasleyiev was well out of range. Poor timing from Sharp.
Sharp connects with a good right hand that stumbles Vasleyiev. Vasleyiev circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Vasleyiev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A quick step to the side and Sharp tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slow jab from Vasleyiev misses its intended target.
Vasleyiev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Vasleyiev might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Sharp throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vasleyiev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Vasleyiev lands a big uppercut and Sharp crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sharp looks OK. Vasleyiev waves Sharp back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vasleyiev lands a big right hand that sends Sharp crashing to the mat! Vasleyiev stays standing though and waves Sharp back to his feet!
Sharp sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Vasleyiev drops Sharp with a straight right hand, right on the button! Vasleyiev follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
