Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Diaz (ranked 5033 p4p, 481 weight class) and Mike Ambrose (ranked 6663 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edwin Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Ambrose! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ambrose rushes Diaz and presses him up against the cage. Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Diaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ambrose just stands there and leans against the cage. Ambrose tries to score a body lock takedown but Diaz shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Diaz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ambrose is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ambrose gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ambrose trying to control the action but Diaz is working from the bottom. Ambrose looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Diaz is refusing to be controlled, as Ambrose sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ambrose thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Diaz is looking to control Ambrose's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diaz avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz moves into full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ambrose looking to score a takedown here. Diaz is defending well but Ambrose drives through and ends up in Diaz's guard. Ambrose is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Diaz wants to stand but Ambrose is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz controls Ambrose momentarily but Ambrose frees himself. Diaz is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ambrose in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ambrose content to stall in guard here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Diaz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ambrose to score an easy takedown into full guard. Diaz trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Diaz keeping moving, preventing Ambrose from controlling successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ambrose is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Ambrose dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ambrose moves into the clinch. Ambrose tries to pull guard but Diaz won't allow it.
Diaz is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Diaz tries to work over Ambrose's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Still in the clinch, Diaz scores with a nice short uppercut. Ambrose drags the fight down to the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is working for a kimura but Ambrose is defending it quite comfortably.
Mike Ambrose has got the better of the ground game so far. Diaz slows the pace down in half guard. Diaz works his foot free and advances to mount. Ambrose has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ambrose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Diaz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ambrose can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Diaz has control of Ambrose's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ambrose regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ambrose tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diaz is landing with some decent strikes but Ambrose is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Ambrose can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ambrose wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Diaz has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Ambrose taps furiously! This one is all over!
