Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Avery (ranked 5473 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Jomaro (ranked 7378 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Jomaro has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dick Avery's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oleg Jomaro! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avery gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Avery could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Avery wants to sweep here but Jomaro controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Avery can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jomaro controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jomaro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avery takes the fight into the clinch. Jomaro has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Avery clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jomaro keeps control of the position easily here as Avery tries to buck him off.
Jomaro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Avery is trying to break free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Jomaro controlling the positon.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Avery is trying to stand back up. Jomaro is trying to stick to Avery's back but Avery is turning into Jomaro. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jomaro's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Avery. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jomaro managing to control the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Avery trying to control the position from guard on top but Jomaro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Avery has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Avery stands and steps away. Jomaro gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Avery rushes Jomaro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jomaro turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jomaro manages to end up in side control. Avery tries to improve position but can't. The referee asks Jomaro politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jomaro prefers to stall for the moment though. It looks like Jomaro might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Jomaro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. More stalling from Jomaro.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Avery is looking to regain half guard here but Jomaro keeps moving and retains side control. Jomaro staying calm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg Jomaro dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Avery tries to sprawl but Jomaro drives through with a takedown into half guard. Avery tries to roll over but Jomaro keeps him under control. Jomaro not doing much here.
Avery wants to improve his position but Jomaro is controlling well.
Jomaro is taking a breather. Avery says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Avery gets back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Jomaro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jomaro is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jomaro with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Jomaro prevents Avery from improving his position. Jomaro keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jomaro has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jomaro is continuing to stall. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Avery is trying to get back to full guard. Jomaro seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Oleg Jomaro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Avery's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Avery enables Jomaro to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Avery manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Jomaro controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jomaro tries to free his leg and advance position but Avery is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jomaro controlling from the top position. Jomaro wants to control from the top but Avery keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jomaro preventing the sweep. Jomaro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jomaro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jomaro showed some decent athleticism there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jomaro sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's better than Jomaro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Avery sneaks back into half guard. Jomaro is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Avery! Avery has given up his back here. Will Jomaro look for the submission or keep pounding away?

And that's the end of the fight! Oleg Jomaro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jomaro winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
