The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abdul misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zimmerman swings for the body but Abdul moves out of range.
Abdul tries to clinch there but Zimmerman circles away.
Abdul looking to land some kicks to the body here.
As Abdul tries to get set, Zimmerman tries to push him back and clinch up but Abdul manages to avoid the attempt.
Zimmerman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zimmerman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice straight punches there by Zimmerman. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zimmerman.

Abdul gets a takedown into half guard.

Zimmerman manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Abdul clinches up against the cage.

Abdul manages to break the clinch.

Abdul closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Zimmerman to the mat! Zimmerman manages to get full guard.

Zimmerman is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Abdul presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
