Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Trent Alvarez (ranked 5455 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammies Babyhole (ranked 5311 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Alvarez enables Babyhole to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Alvarez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Babyhole won't allow Alvarez to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Babyhole tries to free his leg and advance position but Alvarez is retaining full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Babyhole shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Alvarez's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Babyhole slaps away a takedown attempt from Alvarez, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A close round but Sammies Babyhole will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Babyhole tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Babyhole feints and as Alvarez raises his hands in defense, Babyhole changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Babyhole winds up and cracks Alvarez with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Babyhole wants to take a breather but Alvarez is having none of it.

Babyhole closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
