Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corban Storm (ranked 667 p4p, 88 weight class) and Jan Kriel (ranked 826 p4p, 108 weight class). Kriel has chosen Fokofpolisiekar - Fokofpolisiekar as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corban Storm! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jan Kriel! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Storm scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Storm throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kriel works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Kriel wants to control but Storm is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kriel avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Storm. Storm working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Storm has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Storm keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kriel's head.

Storm throws a leg kick but Kriel moved away. A little jabbing left from Kriel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Kriel seems to have recovered his senses. Storm misses with a straight left. Storm throws a right hand that misses
enabling Kriel to counter with a crisp jab. Kriel throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Kriel as Storm shoots in. Kriel lands a nice hook to Storm's body. Storm takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Storm swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kriel counters with a lovely shot to the body. Storm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kriel takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kriel defending well as Storm loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Storm connects with a nice looking jab.

Storm is looking to score with low kicks. A little jabbing left from Kriel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Kriel is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Kriel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Storm throws out a loose jab but Kriel uses good head movement to avoid it. Kriel slips a straight right by Storm. Kriel looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. A jab from Kriel misses. Storm connects with a body shot. Storm lands a nice hook to Kriel's body. Kriel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Corban Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Storm misses with an uppercut
and Kriel counters with a lovely straight right hand! Storm swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Storm bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kriel's head backwards. Storm lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kriel will feel that in the morning. A punch lands to the side of Kriel 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kriel throws an overhand right that lands on Storm's shoulder, as Storm tries to avoid the shot. Storm was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kriel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Storm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm digs a good hook to Kriel's body.
Storm misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Corban Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him. Storm goes for a double leg but Kriel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kriel continues to drive forward. Kriel swings for the body but Storm moves out of range.
Storm scores with a jab. That kick from Storm tenderised Kriel's leg. Kriel is trying to keep his angry face on. Storm scores with a nice strike. Kriel closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Both fighters circling a little - Storm finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Storm looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kriel is fending him off so far but Storm persists. Nope, Kriel circles away and we're back to standing. Kriel will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Storm pushes Kriel away with a front kick. Storm lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Corban Storm is winning the standup battle so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kriel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kriel thuds his shin into the meat of Storm's side. Storm misses with a hook. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kriel! But no joy. Kriel throws a right and a left that Storm avoids nicely. Kriel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Storm feints and as Kriel raises his hands in defense, Storm changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kriel has control of Storm's left arm, preventing Storm from doing any damage. Storm trying to control but Kriel is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kriel is pulling down on Storm's head. It's preventing any offense from Storm, at least for the moment. Storm throws a big elbow that misses. Storm trying to control the position from guard on top but Kriel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kriel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kriel keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Storm is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kriel controlling the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Corban Storm dominated that second round. That's time! Storm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Storm thuds his right hand into Kriel's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Storm misses with a takedown and Kriel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Storm misses with a straight left. Despite the aggression on Kriel's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Storm - that will leave a mark!
Storm is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kriel can do to turn this around? Storm looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Storm uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kriel.
Storm throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kriel sees it coming and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kriel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Storm missing with a left hand there. Kriel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Storm. Storm is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Storm misses with a hook. Kriel feints and then cracks Storm's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Storm down. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kriel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Storm circles away quickly and effectively. Storm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kriel holds on and takes a little breather. Storm looking to sit in guard and control but Kriel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kriel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kriel postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kriel is stalling in the full guard. Storm will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Storm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Storm bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kriel's guard. Kriel is trying to keep Storm in close.

And that's the end of the fight! Corban Storm showed his dominance in that final round. Well Storm has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Corban Storm! After the fight, Corban Storm was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
