PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Barbados (ranked 739 p4p, 82 weight class) and Gurney Halleck (ranked 1274 p4p, 125 weight class). Barbados kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is What's It All For. Halleck has chosen Simple Minds - Changeling as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halleck's coach down at Pablo's Boxing Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Halleck's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barbados rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Halleck moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Barbados will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Aldo Barbados decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
