The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savea misses with a hook.
Johnson tries to clinch up.
Johnson slips a jab from Savea.

Johnson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Savea checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Savea tries to counter by clinching up but Johnson breaks away and moves out of range.
Savea has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Johnson has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Savea seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Johnson can turn it around.
Savea lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Johnson to his knees! Savea keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
