Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Pittman (ranked 25096 p4p, 0 weight class) and Goncalo Dias (ranked 5338 p4p, 0 weight class). Dias has chosen All Eyez On Me as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugo Pittman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Goncalo Dias! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pittman throws a nice head kick!
Dias lands a high kick!
It looks like Hugo Pittman has been cut. Dias looks for the body kick but Pittman saw that one coming. Dias wants to slow Pittman down by chopping away at his legs. Pittman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dias sneaks out the side door and pushes Pittman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dias throws a leg kick and Pittman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dias lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pittman's sensitive parts. Dias throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pittman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Pittman throwing shots but Dias is blocking nicely. Pittman is working for a kimura here but Dias manages to reverse the position and he's now in Pittman's guard.
Dias stands up and waves to Pittman to follow him. Dias throws a leg kick and Pittman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pittman. Pittman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pittman sitting in guard here, content to control. Dias utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dias wants to stand but Pittman is controlling the position. Pittman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dias manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pittman has Dias in his guard.
Pittman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dias can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pittman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dias wanted to stand there but Pittman had control of the position. Dias decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dias swinging wildly here.
Pittman fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias throws a leg kick that misses. Dias takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Pittman feints and as Dias raises his hands in defense, Pittman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Pittman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pittman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dias wants to get back to his feet but Pittman passes into half guard.
Dias blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pittman. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pittman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dias keeps working. Dias avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Pittman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pittman throwing shots but Dias is blocking nicely. Pittman not doing much here.
Pittman is looking for a kimura but Dias is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pittman to get the leverage. Dias has one foot on Pittman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Dias fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pittman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Goncalo Dias dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hugo Pittman's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dias throws a right and a left that Pittman avoids nicely. Pittman tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Dias manages to circle out of the way. Pittman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Pittman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pittman is in close to Dias's body, working some short punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dias pushes Pittman off and gets back to his feet.
Dias throws a leg kick that is checked and Pittman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pittman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pittman won't allow Dias to get back to his feet. Pittman throws an elbow that misses. Dias uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pittman's guard. Nice move by Dias! Pittman throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dias trying to stand up but can't free himself from Pittman's guard. Pittman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dias tries to stand but Pittman is controlling from the bottom. Pittman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dias stands up from Pittman's guard - Dias perhaps looking for a knockout. Pittman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dias is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Pittman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Pittman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pittman taking a break here but Dias is having none of it and regains half guard. Dias pushes Pittman off looking to stand but Pittman dives back in and keeps control.
Goncalo Dias has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pittman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dias keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pittman missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pittman missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Dias on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Dias kicks off Pittman and gets to his feet. Dias tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dias misses with a two punch combination.
Pittman is looking for a counter combo. Pittman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dias scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Pittman manages to mount him!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pittman raining down hammerfists from mount. Pittman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Pittman scoring with strikes but Dias is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hugo Pittman will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Hugo Pittman's cut. That's time! Pittman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Pittman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pittman in side control, throwing shots but Dias defends. Pittman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dias is pushing Pittman's head away, looking to escape. Pittman manages to hold on to the position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pittman throws an elbow but Dias slips to the side and avoids it well. Check out the look on Pittman's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's one minute gone in the round. Pittman throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Pittman throwing shots but missing, from side control. Pittman is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dias will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Pittman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Pittman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dias rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pittman's guard! Nice work there by Dias! Pittman is working an open guard so Dias takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dias takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Decent striking displayed by Dias there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pittman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dias manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Pittman throwing strikes from guard but Dias blocks nicely. Pittman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dias's head. Dias has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Pittman is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Dias is trying to break the clinch but Pittman has him pressed against the cage. Pittman throws a punch but it's blocked by Dias. Dias on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dias breaks from the clinch.
Dias jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dias throws a combination that misses letting Pittman counter with a right hand. Pittman bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pittman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hugo Pittman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Excellent takedown into side control there by Pittman. Pittman throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Pittman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dias is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pittman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dias knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dias is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dias is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hugo Pittman. I think Pittman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
