Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renan Filho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Freitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Renan Filho has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Freitas tries to avoid it but Filho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Freitas to the ground. Freitas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Filho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Filho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Freitas as he jumps to the side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Filho has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Freitas is working away from the top position though.

Freitas stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Filho to get to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Freitas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Filho but Filho pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Filho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Freitas's guard.

Filho closes the distance and pushes Freitas back into the cage.
Filho could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Freitas tries to pull guard but Filho holds him up against the cage and eventually Freitas drops back down to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Freitas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Filho had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Freitas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Filho Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Freitas's back instead.
