Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vasily Boyko (ranked 6139 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monte Goglin (ranked 4578 p4p, 0 weight class). Monte Goglin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vasily Boyko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monte Goglin! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyko moves into the clinch. Goglin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Goglin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boyko keeps the fight on the outside. Boyko throws a big counter combination but Goglin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Boyko shoots in for a takedown but Goglin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As Boyko backs off Goglin throws a huge counter combo but Boyko manages to avoid it all. Goglin punishes Boyko's body with a nice straight punch. Goglin pushes Boyko up against the cage in a clinch. Goglin scores with a nice hook to the head. Goglin blocks the elbow strike.
Boyko's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Goglin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boyko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Goglin swivels and escapes. Goglin wants to clinch up but Boyko keeps it at a distance. Goglin clinches up with Boyko and pushes him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Goglin gets through Boyko's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Goglin lands an elbow that stopped Boyko in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Vasily Boyko has been cut. Boyko struggles to land a body shot inside as Goglin controls his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goglin lands with a left to the head. A shot in the inside from Goglin. Goglin looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Boyko is working for takedown but Goglin is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vasily Boyko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Goglin effectively controlling the action here. Goglin stalling against the cage.
Goglin scores with a knee to the head.
Boyko stalls. Goglin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Boyko blocks it with crossed arms. Boyko working hard to break the clinch. Boyko gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Goglin regains guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyko tries to free his leg and advance position but Goglin is retaining full guard. Boyko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Boyko won't allow Goglin to sweep him here. Boyko scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Boyko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goglin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Goglin wants to hit a switch here but Boyko passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Goglin there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Goglin tries to lock up and control but Boyko gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boyko lands a heavy elbow. Boyko looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Goglin can't escape the position.
Boyko lands a nice shot to the head. Boyko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Goglin manages to avoid the submission attempt. Boyko lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goglin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boyko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Boyko tries to advance to mount but can't. Goglin wants to control but Boyko postures up. Boyko is staying tight to Goglin's torso, preventing him from escaping. Boyko looks up at the clock and then as Goglin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Boyko smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Monte Goglin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Vasily Boyko's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A good leg kick by Boyko. Goglin pushes Boyko up against the cage in a clinch. Goglin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boyko looks to land a combination but Goglin avoids it well. Boyko throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Goglin tries to clinch up but Boyko circles away and keeps his distance. Goglin clinches with his opponent.
Goglin lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Goglin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Goglin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goglin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goglin wants it to stay on the feet. Boyko looks to land a right hand but Goglin moved out of range. Goglin scores with a jab to the jaw. Goglin forces Boyko back against the cage and clinches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice elbow from Goglin. Goglin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good body shot from Goglin.
Goglin lands an elbow inside. With the fighters up against the cage, Boyko throws an elbow but misses. Goglin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Goglin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyko walks away with a smile on his face. Goglin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Goglin blocks the body kick.
Goglin moves in looking to clinch but Boyko pushes him off. Boyko drops his hands for a split second and Goglin immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Boyko face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Goglin follows up with a right hand that knocks Boyko into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Monte Goglin! The defeated Vasily Boyko had this to say: 'I can walk hundreds of miles barefoot. This is nothing.'.
