Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Baramari (ranked 1215 p4p, 69 weight class) and Hussein Stahl (ranked 1308 p4p, 73 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Baramari!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hussein Stahl!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stahl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Baramari closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've been informed that Stahl has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Stahl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Baramari walks away with a smile on his face. Stahl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Baramari misses with a straight left.
Stahl pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stahl scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Stahl connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Baramari tries to clinch up.
Baramari fails in his attempt to clinch.
Baramari clobbers Stahl with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Baramari tries to close the distance and clinch but Stahl swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stahl misses with a takedown attempt - Baramari sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It looked like Baramari was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Stahl throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hussein Stahl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baramari pushes Stahl up against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baramari throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Baramari working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Baramari is taking a breather. Stahl says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Baramari fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Baramari tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Baramari has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Stahl's face.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Baramari will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Stahl throws an elbow but it misses.

Stahl jumps guard and drags Baramari to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Baramari wants to pass the guard but Stahl is keeping the position.
Baramari wants to get up but he can't break Stahl's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Stahl is looking for a triangle here but Baramari uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Stahl takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baramari moves in looking to clinch but Stahl pushes him off.
Stahl bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Baramari's head backwards.

Stahl closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Baramari's guard.

Baramari is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Stahl lands with a right to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bob Baramari.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Baramari, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
