Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Ritter (ranked 749 p4p, 92 weight class) and Bismack Kagonbo (ranked 1647 p4p, 185 weight class). Ritter comes to the cage accompanied by Another one Bites the dust. Kagonbo has chosen Voodoo as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Ritter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bismack Kagonbo! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ritter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Bismack Kagonbo has been cut. Kagonbo ducks straight into an uppercut from Ritter and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Kagonbo manages to regain guard straight away.
Ritter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ritter is looking to work some ground and pound but Kagonbo has wrist control. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kagonbo manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ritter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kagonbo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ritter throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kagonbo counters with a nice uppercut. Kagonbo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kagonbo lands a big head kick that sends Ritter tumbling to the mat! Kagonbo takes a step backwards and waves Ritter back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Sylvester Ritter has been cut. Ritter moves away from the strike by Kagonbo. Ritter forces Kagonbo back against the cage and clinches. Kagonbo breaks from the clinch.
Kagonbo moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Ritter swings for the body but Kagonbo moves out of range.
Ritter walks into a left hand. No joy there for Kagonbo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've been informed that Kagonbo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ritter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kagonbo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ritter misses with a hook. Ritter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ritter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kagonbo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Ritter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kagonbo swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ritter is looking to work some ground and pound but Kagonbo has wrist control. Ritter prevents Kagonbo from getting back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kagonbo can do anything to dispel that myth. Kagonbo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kagonbo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Ritter scoring with some ground and pound. Ritter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kagonbo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ritter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kagonbo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ritter throws an elbow that misses. Kagonbo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ritter's guard. Nice move by Kagonbo! Ritter is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ritter is on top in guard.
Ritter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ritter content to stall in guard here. Ritter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ritter postures up in Kagonbo's guard and throws a big left but Kagonbo blocks it. Ritter throws a big right hand that misses. Ritter prevents Kagonbo from getting back to his feet. Kagonbo keeping moving, preventing Ritter from controlling successfully. Ritter chips away with some ground and pound. Ritter trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kagonbo manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Ritter is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ritter lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ritter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ritter throws a strike but Kagonbo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ritter seems keen to control Kagonbo's posture. Ritter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ritter continues to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sylvester Ritter will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ritter motions for Kagonbo to come forward. Ritter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kagonbo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ritter to score an easy takedown into full guard. Ritter with a nice head shot there. Kagonbo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ritter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kagonbo wants to stand but Ritter is controlling the position. Ritter won't allow Kagonbo to sweep him here. Ritter throwing strikes from guard but Kagonbo blocks nicely. Ritter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ritter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ritter throws a strike but Kagonbo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ritter is adopting a defensive guard. Sylvester Ritter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ritter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ritter is working an open guard so Kagonbo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ritter throws a right hand that misses
and Kagonbo counters with a straight right hand. Ritter scores with a jab to the head.
Kagonbo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kagonbo misses with a lunging right hand
and Ritter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Oooooh!!! Kagonbo has knocked Ritter down with a huge combo! Kagonbo steps away and waves a wobbly Ritter back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ritter is rocked! Bismack Kagonbo seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kagonbo fakes the body blow, causing Ritter to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ritter goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bismack Kagonbo! In his post fight interview, Bismack Kagonbo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. In defeat, Sylvester Ritter stepped up to the mic, saying 'To all the young kids out there... Its not the failures that define who you are but how hard you bite back once you get up.'.
