Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jae Deagle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Sawyer - Rush. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jae Deagle!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Deagle on the side of the head.
Rush throws out a leg kick but Deagle moves out of range and Rush only half commits.
Deagle lands with a nice combination. Rush backs away looking to recover.
Rush throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Deagle loads up on a big right hand but Rush slips the punch.

That was a close round but I would say that Jesper Rush will probably get the nod.

Deagle had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rush is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Deagle Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rush's back instead.

Deagle is trying to stick to Rush's back but Rush is turning into Deagle. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Deagle's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rush.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Rush feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Deagle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
