Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cam Bear (ranked 5396 p4p, 0 weight class) and Betty Balloon (ranked 5383 p4p, 539 weight class). Cam Bear could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Betty Balloon's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Balloon avoids the head kick by Bear.
Balloon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Balloon throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bear throws the kick towards the body but Balloon avoids it.
Bear moves in looking to clinch but Balloon pushes him off.
Balloon tries to counter with a clinch but Bear shakes him off and moves away.
Balloon connects with a body shot.
Balloon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Balloon misses with a body shot.
Bear shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bear showed some decent athleticism there.
Bear throws a strike but Balloon avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bear seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bear goes for a double leg but Balloon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Balloon continues to drive forward.

and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bear shoots in looking for a takedown. Balloon tries to sprawl out of it but Bear keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Balloon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Balloon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bear's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
