Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Erasmo Gutierrez (ranked 5374 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liro Ruoholahti (ranked 3464 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Erasmo Gutierrez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Liro Ruoholahti! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruoholahti rushes Gutierrez and presses him up against the cage. Ruoholahti is trying to break free. Gutierrez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ruoholahti just stands there and leans against the cage. Gutierrez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ruoholahti walks away with a smile on his face. Gutierrez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Gutierrez dives in and grabs Ruoholahti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruoholahti pushes down on Gutierrez's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erasmo Gutierrez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ruoholahti moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Gutierrez slips a jab and a cross from Ruoholahti.
Gutierrez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ruoholahti sprawls and moves away. Ruoholahti looks to land a combination but Gutierrez avoids it well. Gutierrez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ruoholahti falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gutierrez counters with a good low kick that Ruoholahti was not able to check. Gutierrez dives in for a single leg takedown but Ruoholahti sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. As Gutierrez backs off Ruoholahti throws a huge counter combo but Gutierrez manages to avoid it all. Liro Ruoholahti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gutierrez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Ruoholahti. Those never looked like landing. Ruoholahti throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gutierrez on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruoholahti falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Gutierrez counter with a right hand. Ruoholahti throws a low kick but Gutierrez avoids it. Gutierrez tries to counter with a takedown but Ruoholahti is quick to defend against it. Ruoholahti darts in and clinches Gutierrez up against the cage. Gutierrez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ruoholahti just stands there and leans against the cage. Ruoholahti's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gutierrez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruoholahti.
Gutierrez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ruoholahti, right into the meat.
Liro Ruoholahti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ruoholahti closes the distance and pushes Gutierrez back into the cage. Gutierrez tries to pull guard but Ruoholahti won't allow it.
Ruoholahti escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Ruoholahti misses. Ruoholahti has closed the distance and engaged Gutierrez in a clinch.
Gutierrez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ruoholahti smiles and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruoholahti lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ruoholahti. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruoholahti misses with a leg kick and Gutierrez counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gutierrez. Gutierrez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ruoholahti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gutierrez is controlling him. Gutierrez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gutierrez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ruoholahti wants to stand but Gutierrez is controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ruoholahti throws out a leg kick but Gutierrez moves out of range and Ruoholahti only half commits. Ruoholahti scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gutierrez in his tracks. Gutierrez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ruoholahti lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Ruoholahti swinging wildly here.
Ruoholahti lands a two punch combo.
Gutierrez blocks a jab. Ruoholahti tries to bum rush Gutierrez with a series of wild strikes but Gutierrez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Some bone on bone action there as Gutierrez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ruoholahti throws a series of strikes that have Gutierrez backpedaling.
Ruoholahti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gutierrez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liro Ruoholahti dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Gutierrez dodges the punch combination from Ruoholahti.
Liro Ruoholahti seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ruoholahti swings for the body but Gutierrez moves out of range.
Gutierrez feinted with a counter takedown. Gutierrez drops his hands momentarily and Ruoholahti takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Ruoholahti displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ruoholahti misses with a few strikes there.
Gutierrez misses with a takedown attempt - Ruoholahti sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruoholahti moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Gutierrez is rocked! Gutierrez darts in looking for a takedown but Ruoholahti gets double underhooks and turns Gutierrez into the cage. Oh Gutierrez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown but Ruoholahti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gutierrez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erasmo Gutierrez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gutierrez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ruoholahti as he avoids it easily. Gutierrez gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Gutierrez tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Ruoholahti is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Gutierrez buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Gutierrez!! Gutierrez is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Ruoholahti throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liro Ruoholahti! In his post fight interview, Liro Ruoholahti started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
